Duplex, Triplex, Fourplex and more! There may be instances where your clients are looking for these homes, but what are they exactly and how do you locate these types of structures when searching in Flexmls?
Defining Each Type
A duplex has a common central wall and consists of two living units, either side-by-side or on two floors, with separate entries.
A triplex is a building that combines three separate residential units into one structure, with the various units sharing one or two common walls. Every unit in a triplex has its own bathroom(s), kitchen, living room, exterior doors and address.
A fourplex can be a multifamily home typically designed to house four separate families under one roof. The multifamily units can be side by side or stacked on top of each other, but typically are a combination of both. If multiple-generational homes are something your clients seek, read the blog about searching for multi-generational houses.
