The ARMLS Preferred Photographer Program connects agents and photographers. Photographers in the program have been trained, tested on ARMLS media rules, have limited access to Flexmls to add media (using their own login), and offer their own rates and services.

Preferred Photographer Program FAQ's
What is the Preferred Photographer Program and why should I use it?
The ARMLS Preferred Photographer program will connect you with professional photographers to assist you with your media needs such as photos, videos, virtual tours and drone footage. By being part of this program, photographers will have access to Flexmls to upload media directly in your listings. They will only have access to the media sections of listings you link them with.
Can I refer a photographer that I already use?
Absolutely! Refer a photographer to https://armls.com/become-certified for more information. They will need to complete a training course (and quiz), fill out the application, and sign a contract.
Am I required to use a photographer on this list?
No. However, photographers that are not participating in the program will not have Photographer access to Flexmls.
Do these photographers know the ARMLS Rules?
Our Certified Photographers have taken a course on ARMLS media rules, which gave them a good understanding of what is and is not allowed in media. Agents are responsible for ensuring photographers have not made errors.
Does the photographer have access to my listings?
The Certified Photographer will only have access to the media section of your active or incomplete listings, once you grant them access.
Can a photographer make my listing Active?
No. Certified Photographer will only have access to the media section of your active or incomplete listings. They will not be able to alter the listing information or status. Photographers will be able to upload photos, videos and media to the listings you assign them to.
Do I need to sign a service agreement with an ARMLS Certified Photographer to use this program?
Yes, you need an agreement with your photographer. Each Certified Photographer has signed an agreement with ARMLS that requires the photographer to have a separate service agreement with each subscriber utilizing their services. If your agreement with a photographer does not cover items in Section 4 of the ARMLS agreement, those terms will apply.
Is ARMLS given ownership of listing photos?
The copyright of the photos is determined by the terms set forth in your agreement with your photographer. ARMLS does not own your photos.
How does the photographer/subscriber service agreement and the ARMLS/photographer agreement affect the copyrights of the subject media?
- The copyright of the photos is determined by the terms set forth in your agreement with your photographer. ARMLS does not own your photos.
- The Certified Photographer may negotiate a service agreement with the subscriber to retain certain rights in the media. ARMLS is automatically granted a license, not ownership, to the media to use it through its business. This helps to protect the subscriber from future copyright claims from the medias use across platforms.
- Photographer Warranty. Certified Photographers warrant to ARMLS and are also required to “warrant in their Service Agreements, that (a) the Works do not and will not infringe or violate any patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets or other proprietary rights of any third party, including any privacy rights; (b) Photographer has and will have all right, title, or license in and to the Works to provide such Works to Subscriber under the terms of the Service Agreement; (c) the Works are not and will not be defamatory, offensive, or obscene; (d) Photographer is the owner of the copyright of the any Works; (e) the Works will not contain any virus or other code, program, or sub-program that could damages or interferes with the operation of the MLS System. Photographer understands and agrees that Photographer will be responsible for the introduction of any of the foregoing items into the MLS Services, whether intentional or unintentional. Photographer further warrants that it shall comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations in performance of its respective obligations under this Agreement”.
Does ARMLS make a portion of what agents pay the photographers for their services?
No. ARMLS does not make any money off of what agents pay for the photographers services.
Why should a photographer sign up if they already have my username/password for Flexmls?
Subscribers may not share their access credentials with anyone, whether the other party is another Subscriber or non-Subscriber.
Further subscribers may not share access to the system by allowing anyone else to participate in an online access session using their access credentials,
whether or not the actual credentials were disclosed or shared. More information on ARMLS Rule 7.2.
