The ARMLS Rule 8.23 & Watermarks Education Phase concluded on October 5, 2023. What does this mean for you? Rule 8.23 underwent an update in February 2023, with the aim of providing clearer guidelines for the content allowed in listing media.

ARMLS Rule 8.23 defines what is and isn’t allowed on media attached to a listing in the MLS system. This rule expressly prohibits the inclusion of contact information and branding elements such as phone numbers, email addresses, individual names, websites, entity names or any form of advertising on media. The revisions to this rule were implemented to enhance the quality of media content within the MLS and to ensure alignment with fair housing regulations.
