More often than not, your client will change their search parameters throughout the process of buying a home.  You can easily edit their saved search in Flexmls, but there are a few nuances to be aware of.

How to edit a Saved Search.

Flexmls save search button

Click on the desired search under your Saved Searches. You will be brought to the available listings that meet the current criteria. Click on Edit Search and adjust the search parameters. Click the Save button and click Save Search. On the next screen you can choose to save as a new or existing search.

What to name your Saved Search.

It’s important to know that if you set up your client on a subscription and/or portal, they will see the name of their saved search. The takeaway here is to name the search something user-friendly that makes sense to both you and your client.

What to do after you’ve edited a Saved Search.

After you’ve edited and saved an existing search, click on the List to view the results. Select the new listings that meet your client’s new parameters and click the Email button to send those listings to them. This is an important step, especially if you have a subscription set up for them.

Saving a Search saves the criteria, not the listings themselves.

The number of listings in a saved search will fluctuate as listings within the criteria change status and/or price. To save individual listings, select the desired listing(s), click the Save button and then click Save Selected As. The listings will be saved as a Listing Collection.
