Big building projects are happening around the valley! Building projects can bring an area new life in the form of jobs, financial improvements, and homes! Potential buyers may be exploring these areas as a result. Here are some places you should check out as you are discussing properties and what’s around with your clients.
Sheels in Chandler is opening in Fall 2023 at Chandler Fashion Center. This 20,000-square-foot building, employing 400 people, has lots of cool things to see and do, including having a Ferris wheel, a saltwater aquarium, a wildlife mountain and a candy shop. There is also a restaurant, café, arcade and sports simulators. Specialty shops for fashion, outdoor sports, hunting and fishing gear, athletic clothing and sports equipment are also throughout. What else could you need?
Mattel Adventure Park, Glendale
Capitalizing on Barbie mania, Mattel Adventure Park is expected to open in 2024 near the Cardinals Stadium. Watch the construction process, which is actually pretty cool, on the construction cam or the time-lapse. Glendale has a lot going on as the sixth-largest city in Arizona. It’s home to Luke Air Force Base, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Magellan Aerospace and Honeywell. For entertainment, there is State Farm Stadium, Gila River Arena, spring training fields, shopping and hospitality!
Ritz-Carlton Resort & Hotel, Paradise Valley
The Ritz-Carlton Resort & Hotel building project started back in 2018. This project seemed to have a lot of starts and stops, but, finally, it’s almost finished! Scottsdale residents are eager to have construction completed on this 122-acre space. It will include a 200-unit hotel, 81 resort villas and approximately 120 single-family lots, as well as dining and entertainment. We expect that there will be jobs to fill, but nothing is posted online as of yet. Keep an eye on the construction website for updates.
Kohler, Casa Grande
Kohler, a kitchen and bath manufacturer, is building a plant in Casa Grande. It plans to bring 500 full-time jobs, filling roles in their manufacturing facility, ancillary warehouse and office space. Kohler’s one million sq ft site will be environmentally conscious through incorporation of sustainability and alternate energy sources. Construction should be done in 2025.
