Is it okay to talk about title companies in your listing? And if so where does it go?

Title company verbiage is only allowed in the private or semi-private remarks. Title company verbiage in the public remarks is considered Inappropriate Language and is a violation that carries a $200 fine under the Penalty Policy. The only information in the Public Remarks should be descriptive information about the property and its location.

When entering title information into the private or semi-private remarks, what are you allowed to say? Recommendations are permitted. For example, “Please use ABC title company” is fine. But demanding that a certain title company must be used is not.

Watch the Rules Online Course to learn more about inappropriate language.
