When entering a listing, there’s a handy button on the address tab that can help prevent mistakes and possible rule violations while saving you time. It’s called the Populate Tax Data button and works by populating some required information in your listing.

Using Populate Tax Data Button (aka auto-pop, auto-populate)

To use the button, enter in the full property address or the Assessors Parcel Number (APN) then click the Populate Tax Data. When entering a residential listing the button will populate all the below fields. Fields will vary based on the property type you are entering.

Assessor’s Book # Legal Description
 Assessor’s Parcel # Map Code Grid
 Assessor’s Map # Legal Subdivision
 Assessors’s Parcel Ltr Owner/Occ Name
 House Number Approx SqFt
 Compass  Approx Lot SqFt
 Street Name  Year built
 Street Suffix  Geo Latitude
 Street Dir Suffix  Geo Longitude
City/Town Code  Township
State/Province  Range
Zip Code  Section
Zip 4  Lot Number
Tax Municipality  Tax Year
 School Districts  Tax Amount
