You’ve volunteered, been recommended or raised your hand to help make the MLS better. Now, take the next step to be considered for an ARMLS Board of Directors seat. To be considered, please fill out the web form below. If an applicant’s skills, talents and experience fit an open need, you may be selected for an ARMLS Board of Directors seat by the Directors. This is not an election – the board is considering making direct appointments based on the open needs (skills/talent/experience) of the board. The deadline to apply is 8/14/25 at 11:59 PM.
Before you apply, you will need to prepare:

Letters must not be from family members and/or anyone under 18-years-old.
1 short video resume is required (click to expand for more details)

Each candidate is required to answer the following questions, each in 300 words or less. You will enter your responses on the application.
- Provide a brief background of your professional experience. Describe any relevant experience in the Real Estate and Multiple Listing Service Industry and otherwise.
- What other boards or committees have you served on, or leadership positions have you held in the past? What other boards or committees do you currently serve on?
- Describe your formal education.
- What are the top three reasons you’d be well qualified to serve on the board?
- Is there anything in your background that people might raise questions about if they saw you are a board candidate?
- What knowledge, expertise, or special abilities would you bring to the board? (e.g., Business/Management, Finance, Accounting, Cooperative Experience, others?)
- Do you have any connections (i.e., family relationships, business agreements) to the cooperative that might possibly be seen as a conflict of interest? If yes, please explain.
- Is ARMLS doing anything that really upsets you?
- What are some of the important issues that you believe ARMLS needs to be focused on in the next few years?
- What interests you most about serving on the board of directors?
- Thinking beyond ARMLS and the MLS business, what do you think are some of the biggest challenges our local area faces?
- How would you describe your personal involvement in the community? What sorts of projects or organizations have you been involved in?

Attend a required conference call with ARMLS's CEO.
Each candidate is required to attend a one hour conference call outlining the role and responsibilities. The dates/times will be emailed after applications have closed, but will take place between 8/18 and 8/22.
