As temperatures begin to cool down in the Valley we begin to rev up for a fun time of year. Annually, Phoenix is host to hundreds of festivals, celebrations and events. These include fairs, parades, culinary and heritage festivals, auto shows and major sporting events.

Kicking off October is the Arizona State Fair, which has been an establishment for more than a century. Today the fair ranks among the top 5 in the country, drawing over 1 million visitors annually. It boosts more than 50 amusement rides and over 400 exhibitors.

If food is what you crave we have a festival(s) for that! We’ve got Greek food, mac and cheese, chiles and chocolate, BBQ…Did someone say tacos? And of course beers, mojitos, and tequila to wash it all down. Phoenix is fast becoming a culinary oasis in the desert.

Of course with Halloween right around the corner, there is no shortage of pumpkin farms, corn mazes, fall festivals and even a Balloon Spooktacular. The Salt River Fields Balloon Spooktacular is a unique event for the whole family with over 20 hot air balloons lighting up the sky.

And don’t forget the Fiesta Bowl parade. Celebrating its 47th year, this event is free to the public. You can sit back and enjoy the brightly colored floats, grandiose helium balloons, marching bands and local celebrities as they make their was down the 2 mile stretch through central Phoenix.

With no shortage of things to do, expect to be busy from now until the end of 2017 here in the Valley. You can view the full roster of events here.
