Building a new listing from scratch can be time consuming and intimidating. But fret not, because there’s a way to easily “copy” some of the fields from a previous listing by using the old listing number. Unfortunately, if there is no previous listing number within Flexmls, you’ll have to begin from scratch.

Disclaimer: Check with your broker to confirm they allow using the Copy Listing feature. You must do your due diligence and make sure the information you copy over is up-to-date and accurate. This will require you to sit down with your seller and scope out any and all of the changes with their property.

Copying a Listing

Click the Flexmls Menu in the top left, then select Copy from the Add/Change section of the menu. (Full Copy is only for subscribers who have previously listed that specific property before).

Enter the most recent MLS number and uncheck the box next to Copy Photos, then click Next. On the next pageselect the property type from the drop down and click Next.

The majority of your fields should be filled out. Fields such as list pricelist date, etc. will be blank because you will have to determine that with the seller. After you’ve reviewed the information in the form, select Save Incomplete. If you’re ready, click Add Listing.

If you save the listings as incomplete you can print the input form to double check all the details with your seller. From the Incomplete Listings page click Print or Email in the bottom right.

Then select Print Input Form.
